We know Queensland’s strata world can seem a bit complex, with its own unique laws and ‘Regulation Modules’ that depend on your building type. Plus, the roles of strata managers and building managers (caretakers) here are quite different from other states.
So, take advantage of services and a free call number – click here: BCCM. You can obtain general information and choose training to suit your situation –

To resolve strata disputes in Queensland, adjudicators at the Office of the Commissioner for Body Corporate and Community Management can make legally binding decisions. These are helpful guidance on how disputes are handled (note that decisions are not formal precedents). Search and review adjudicators’ orders here.
OCN is an active participant in the Commissioner’s Stakeholders’ Forum and other discussions with the Queensland Government. Being an OCN member means your experiences and opinions are heard directly when new laws affecting strata owners are being considered.
